Blackdot FY17: Record Growth and Diversity

Growth and diversity have without a doubt been common threads throughout Blackdot's financial year 2017 as they experience their single biggest year to date.

The global company closed the quarter, half and year with record numbers and an overall increase in revenue of 115% for the full year to 30 June 2017. The strong top and bottom line results were driven by growth across geographies, solutions and industry verticals.
Announcing the results earlier this week, Managing Director Marty Nicholas said: “We are thrilled with this result, which reflects the contribution of our people and partners. We have a huge investment agenda and will continue to focus on accelerating growth for our clients and for Blackdot throughout the coming year.”
People Focus
One of the key differentiators for the company is its strategic focus on people and culture, something that the positive numbers have enabled the company to further invest in. During the last half of 2017, Blackdot hired around 20 new diversely talented specialists globally, substantially deepening the organisation’s expertise across data, analytics, technology, change management, consulting and customer strategy, while strengthening existing knowledge across multiple key industries. Growth and diversity are also reflected in the ongoing recruitment strategy as Blackdot strives to position themselves as an employer of choice supporting more flexible working, a gender-balanced pipeline of leaders and inclusion of people with diverse opinions and cultural backgrounds.
In addition, Blackdot plans to increase its technology capabilities with a new Technology Advisory practice, which will enable our clients to benefit from technology-agnostic implementation solutions as they look to scale or automate their execution.
Pivot to Global
Significant investment has also been made in EMEA, where proven senior talent has been deployed to serve the growing regional client base and drive brand awareness. In the last decade, Blackdot has accrued a solid list of European clients, providing solutions to leading organisations including Servier, Black Horse, TNT, Astellas, Phillips Healthcare and RBS.
While the company has enjoyed a dynamic, record breaking year, its focus remains resolutely on the growth of clients and how to meet their continually changing and complex needs, and is excited to leverage what diversity brings with it throughout FY18.
